The aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between the praxeology of L. von Mises and the theory of action of Alfred Schütz. Because of the importance that Mises’ theory has had on economics it is interesting to highlight the coincidences and synergies which exist between the two authors. In the first place, it is interesting because the praxis as a theory of the action is being more and more diffused in the social sciences and in the second place, because the importance which the work of A. Schütz and the direct pupils, especially Thomas Luckmann has had on sociology.
